Counter Tenor Nicholas Tamagna is a rising star in the world of Baroque and 21-Century operas. He just finished a very successful run at the Israeli Opera as Polinesso in Handel’s Ariodante, and we are very happy to have him in this concert. Nicholas was Orfeo in the video production of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice by Opera in Williamsburg Virginia, which was created in lockdown conditions in 2020. Nicholas is a native of the USA, lives in Germany and performs world-wide; he is represented by Parnassus Arts. Soprano Kinneret Ely splits her time between New York City and Tel Aviv. She performed last in Israel with Nicholas Tamagna in his first visit to Israel in March 2022. Kinneret will perform the role of Oberto in Handel’s Alcina with the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival
in July 2023.
Pianist Dan Deutsch is a lecturer and corepetitor at the vocal department of the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, teaching the course of Lieder and vocal accompaniment for singers and pianists. He is an established performer at recitals and chamber music and accompanist of singers in Israel, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Finland.
Naama Zahavi-Ely, the producer of this evening’s concert, is a music-lover who in 2012 founded “Opera in Williamsburg” in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA, where she was living at the time. Every year since, she has produced two fully-staged operas with outstanding professional singers, since 2017 with a chamber orchestra. Naama has been living in Israel since 2013 and would love to produce operas in Israel as well, in addition to her activity in the USA.
ניקולאס טמניה, קונטרה טנור, הוא כוכב עולה בעולם אופרות הבארוק וכן אופרות מן המאה ה-21. הוא בא ארצה לככב בתפקיד פולינסו ב"אריודנטה" של הנדל באופרה הישראלית, ואנחנו שמחים מאד לארח אותו ואת כנרת אילי בקונצרט זה. ניקולאס היה אורפאו בהפקת הוידאו של "אורפאו ואורידיצה" של גלוק שנעשתה בסתיו 2020 בתנאי סגר על ידי אופרה בוויליאמסבורג וירגיניה. ניקולאס הוא יליד ארה"ב, חי כיום בגרמניה ומופיע ברחבי אירופה והעולם. הוא מיוצג ומופיע עם "פרנסוס ארטס." ראה פרטים באתר שלו (קישור למטה).
כנרת אילי. סופרן, חולקת את זמנה בין ניו יורק ותל אביב. היא הופיעה לאחרונה בישראל בקונצרט עם ניקולאס טמניה לפני שנה בביקורו הראשון בארץ. כנרת תופיע ביולי 2023 בתפקיד אוברטו באופרה "אלצינה" של הנדל בליריק אופרה פסטיבל בירושלים.
הפסנתרן דן דויטש מרצה בכיתת הליד וליווי ווקאלי לזמרים ופסנתרנים וקורפטיטור במחלקה הווקאלית בביה"ס למוסיקה ע"ש בוכמן מהטה באוניברסיטת ת"א. בשנים האחרונות ביסס את מעמדו כפסנתרן רסיטלים,כנגן מוזיקה קאמרית וכמלוה זמרים בגרמניה, אוסטריה, שוויץ, פינלנד ובארץ.
נעמה זהבי-אילי היא אוהבת מוסיקה שיסדה ב2012 את "אופרה בויליאמסבורג" בויליאמסבורג, וירגיניה, ארה"ב, המקום בו חיתה אז. נעמה (שחזרה ארצה ב-2013) מנהלת את החברה בוירגיניה מאז, ומפיקה שם שתי אופרות בשנה כל שנה עם זמרים מקצועיים, חלקם מהארץ, בבימוי מלא ועם תזמורת קאמרית. נעמה מעוניינת להגיע כמפיקת אופרות אל קהל בארץ בנוסף לפעילותה בארה"ב
